About me...

I am expatriate Quebecer since 2010. I have lived in California since 2014.

Spouse and mother of three adults, I am now free to spend all my time painting. I like art and literature. Former librarian and publisher, I spent the majority of my life in the middle of books.

I started painting more than 25 years ago for a year or two and then gave it up because I was too busy with my business. I started painting again seriously 5 years ago.

Now, I paint regularly. My art reflects my concerns. I believe in tolerance, freedom, and transmission. I believe above all in the equality of men and women. Women inspire me particularly, they are the source of our roots, the transmission of our history.

I have no claim to realism. I like atmospheric and poetic images. I like the unexpected in my way of working, mostly with wet-on-wet watercolor technic. I also like to use unusual tools to complete textures and create effects.

What I particularly like in Art is freedom. The freedom to create imperfect images, like life. The freedom to choose colors according to the emotions of the moment, the freedom to express without words.
